Before his diagnosis with DIPG, Alex was a 5-year-old with a great love for legos, racing cars and golfing. He loved playing with his friends, especially his older sister. During the nine months that followed his diagnosis, he showed us and his community how to live life with a smile no matter what the obstacles or challenges. He was treated at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and through consultations with Duke University Brain Tumor Center physicians. Sadly, Alex's fight ended in January 2002, but he inspired all of us to live each and every day fully and with faith.
