Story

Charlie (10) and his brother (Beau- 8) were playing and Charlie ran into a wall in 2020. He broke 2 of his toes and hit his shoulder. An orthopedic doctor saw something strange in the x-ray in Charlie's shoulder which led us to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis. Charlie was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma in his left arm in October 2020 just after his 11th birthday. He began chemotherapy very quickly. After 6 rounds of chemo, it was time for surgery! Charlie had surgery on February 8, 2021 to remove the tumor and the affected areas. Charlie is our strong warrior. He is looking at many more rounds of chemo to kill any rogue cells. He is a very smart 5th grader who manages to complete his school work while undergoing chemo. Charlie loves Karate, soccer, animals and all things police and fire department!
